About Us

Our Story

Hands of Hope was first established in 2017 as a legacy to the founders’ son, Immanuel, who was born still at 39+4 weeks. At some point in a person’s life a hand of hope is needed, a hand to provide support when no one else can. During their difficult time, they found hope which seen them through.

Hands of Hope strives to be that hand of support to the many who are faced with difficult times in their life physically or mentally.

Hands of Hope began as a community-based group with a genuine commitment to supporting others in need, through donations to hospitals and rehabilitation centres. After discovering the need for such support and the great appreciation seen from those we assisted, Hands of Hope began to look into ways in which we could assist further.

With great support, Hands of Hope was able to transform from being a community-based group to an incorporated association built up of 6 committee members and many volunteers.

Hands of Hope is now a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission (ACNC) and is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for tax concessions as well as a Deductible Gift Recipient Item 1 (DGR1).
